Dominique LEMOINE, National Director for Chain-Store Discount Private Brands

"By alternating between strategic and 'on-the-ground' positions, you avoid getting bored and continually develop your skills. It's one advantage of working in sales," argues Dominique Lemoine.Following his studies at the Grenoble Business School (a prestigious Ecole Supérieure), Dominique began his career as an Area Manager in Supermarket Distribution. He then alternated between various positions: Sales-Drive Executive, Merchandising Manager, Regional Manager and, finally, Chain Store Director. What do all of these jobs have in common ? Sales.

As National Director for Chain-Store Discount Private Brands, Dominique takes over from Philippe Guider, who is retiring after 27 years spent at Aoste.

His view of the job :

"I see my job as a veritable interface between the company and our distributor clients. Listening to and meeting their needs in terms of products, quality and service is a permanent objective of the Aoste Group. A unique characteristic of the Aoste Group is being able to rely upon dedicated, private-brand marketing and a strong, client-oriented industrial culture. This one-of-a-kind configuration allows us to consistently offer our clients specific, innovative products, along with the excellent quality of the Group's brands."

Evelyne PICOT, Buyer

Evelyne is in charge of purchasing goods and consumables for the marketing department (labels, goodies, POS, etc.). Her role: "help the brand managers locate those products that perfectly suit their particular needs."

Since she joined the Aoste Group in 1981, Evelyne has occupied various positions (scheduling, purchasing of dried-sausage ingredients, etc.), which has allowed her to acquire a more global vision of the company, as well as diverse skills in various trades.

Her view of the trade

Professionalism, good people skills and a taste for negotiation are all necessary to be a good buyer. "You need to integrate three key criteria into the purchasing process: quality, service and the price of the service. Establishing partnerships with our suppliers is an effective means of nurturing an atmosphere of mutual respect."

We have had to progressively adapt our methods to the opening markets, so as to consistently guarantee a quality service for our consumers.
